Big Brothers Big Sisters of Onondaga County:
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) matches children, between the ages of 6 and 12 who reside in Onondaga County, with adult volunteers from the community.
Volunteers are asked to make a commitment to the child for one year, spending 1-1/2 to 2 hours per week with that child.
Case management and support is provided by bbbs for all volunteers and "littles" in the program.
BBBS also hosts many group activities throughout the year at no cost to program participants, such as baseball and hockey games, summer picnics and holiday celebrations.
