Community Needs Assessments
Every five years, PEACE, Inc. conducts a Community Needs Assessment as part of its ongoing management and strategic planning efforts. The needs assessment provides a comprehensive look at life in Onondaga County and will be used to realign the programs and services of PEACE, Inc. with the needs of the community to ensure that PEACE, Inc. is fulfilling its mission.

In response to the changing conditions of the COVID-19 Pandemic, PEACE, Inc. released a COVID-19 Community Needs Assessment.

2020-2021 Media Series on Poverty in Central New York
With their first release in August 2020, Todd Goehle (Planning and Community Engagement Manager, PEACE, Inc.) and Ocesa B. Keaton LMSW (Executive Director of Greater Syracuse H.O.P.E. and OBK Strategic Engagement Strategies) have created a media series that explores poverty in Central New York. The essays, visuals, and media appearances seek to unpack topics and terms that are frequently discussed but perhaps not well understood. The series also presents accessible tools for community use, planning, and action.

Community Conversations: Returning to Work in 2021
Throughout the first 9 months of the COVID-19 Pandemic, PEACE, Inc. participated in the Syracuse Rapid Re-Employment Taskforce. Additionally, members of PEACE, Inc.’s community engagement department designed as well as analyzed focus groups consisting of unemployed and underemployed area residents. The focus group’s approach and findings can be found in the following report:
