Position title
School Bus Driver / Center Aide, preschool (full-time)
Schedule: Schooldays 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Description
Operate a mid-sized school bus to transport up to 14 preschoolers to and from Head Start classroom sites, with the assistance of bus monitors. Assist with operations at classroom site as needed between bus runs. School days 6:30am to 4:00pm, 44 weeks per year.
Qualifications
- Current New York State CDL class A or B (with S endorsement preferred), and experience transporting passengers and operating heavy vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe transportation of enrolled preschool children via school bus between homes and classroom sites.
- Supervise bus monitors while on bus.
- Assist with operations at classroom site as needed between bus runs.
- School days 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, 44 weeks per year.
- Wash and clean the bus once per week.
- Perform bus evacuation drills three times per year, as required by Head Start regulations.
