Position title
School Bus Driver, preschool (part-time, split-shift)
SCHEDULE: Schooldays 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Description
Operate a mid-sized school bus to transport up to 14 preschoolers to and from Head Start classroom sites, with the assistance of bus monitors.School days 6:30 am to 9:00 am and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, 44 weeks per year.
Qualifications
Current New York State CDL class A or B (with S endorsement preferred), and experience transporting passengers and operating heavy vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe transportation of enrolled preschool children via school bus between homes and classroom sites.
- Supervise bus monitors while on bus.
- Wash and clean bus once per week.
- Perform bus evacuation drills three times per year, as required by Head Start regulations.
