Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
The Community-Based Mentor Manager develops and monitors meaningful matches between adult volunteer mentors and youth in the community participating in our Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. Working closely with the mentors, parents/guardians, and others in the community, the mentor manager nurtures the mentor/mentee relationship to ensure successful matches.
Minimum four (4) years of combined relevant work experience and/or college-level education in fields related to family services or social work. Working knowledge and understanding of youths from 8 to 15 years of age. Ability to facilitate relationships between families and volunteers. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Intermediate computer skills.
- Conduct telephone inquiries and in-home interviews with families, youth and volunteers.
- Assist with planning or executing special events and programs for youth and volunteers.
- Assist/guide/direct families, youth and volunteers as needed to assure a successful match.
- Make referrals to support agencies.
Process and maintain all match records (hard copy and database)
CLEARANCE/CREDENTIALING: All mandatory pre-employment screenings are required by the agency. Valid Driver’s license.
