Employee of the Month Cassandra Romeo with (L to R) Executive Director Carolyn Brown and Genesee Head Start Site Supervisor Tricia Daley
Employee of the Month
Cassandra Romeo
Cassandra Romeo became a Family Worker in our Head Start program last April, and during this school year due to staff shortages she has served an increased caseload of families at our Genesee classroom site and at the Hawley Youth Organization. When nominating Cassandra, the Genesee staff gave examples of how she has taken the initiative to use her exceptional technical and organizational skills in the creation of a children’s book club, an outdoor neighborhood clean-up event, and a virtual pet show and talent show. She has also helped to increase the effectiveness of charts and calendars and social media posts to help everyone else stay on top of things.
For being a role model by going above and beyond an already big workload to make things better for her co-workers and her families, Cassandra Romeo has been chosen as our Employee of the Month for June!
