All summer long PEACE, Inc. has had the pleasure of working with multiple agencies to work on different projects at various sites. We are always very greatful for the help that these groups provide for our sites.
Nucor Steel Auburn Staff offered their support in the landscaping efforts at the Food Services building. We are truly thankful for the dedication and effort the volunteers showed. The entire list of tasks were wrapped up in just two hours.
The Bonadio Group offered their assistance in organizing the basement storage areas at our Sumner Head Start facility. With their help, we were able to clean and organize the file room, furniture storage, and other general basement spaces.
The team from Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. tackled a variety of projects at our Merrick Head Start site, including organizing the basement file room, toy and furniture storage, and general cleaning. They also cleaned and organized classrooms, painted selected rooms, built new shelves, and helped with light landscaping to improve the outdoor space.
The Nucor Steel Auburn Staff returned to assist in some more lanscaping at the Liverpool Head Start location. Trees, vines, and weeds didn’t stand a chance—they were cut down and cleared out fast. They filled a pickup truck four times, removing everything. They finished the whole job (and more!) in just two hours. That’s teamwork!
The VIP Structures volunteers worked hard in revitalizing the grounds of the Emma L. Johnston Southside Family Resource Center. Their small team quickly and skillfully tackled a long list of tasks—painting, clearing overgrown bushes, cutting back invasive vines, and removing persistent weeds—completely transforming the exterior of the center. Their efforts have not only improved the appearance of the property but have also created a more welcoming space that reflects the vital work happening inside.
