Brittany Young has been a Family Worker at our Merrick Head Start / Early Head Start site for three years as of this month. She was nominated for this award for all of the ways she consistently brings positive enthusiasm to not only her case management duties, but also when assisting her co-workers in many ways such as covering classroom breaks, filling in as a school bus monitor, and in particular helping with technology issues — while also managing an additional caseload due to our current shortage of Family Workers.

People’s Equal Action and Community Effort, Inc. (PEACE, Inc.) recently received a $5,000 donation from Seneca Savings. The donation stems from a partnership with Seneca Savings and the Federal Loan Home Loan Bank of New York.
Syracuse, New York– People’s Equal Action and Community Effort, Inc. (PEACE, Inc.) recently received a $3,000 grant from Berkshire Bank for the agency’s Free Tax Preparation Program, a member of the United Way of CNY’s CA$H Coalition and VITA networks.
Last week, our Senior Nutrition Program hosted its annual “Harvest Meals” at 28 senior centers across Onondaga County! Every year, we’re proud to provide delicious Thanksgiving meals to seniors in our community, spreading joy and gratitude during this special season.
