Success Story: Daborha Cooley – Teacher Assistant at Merrick Head Start earns the Child Development Associate Credential!

Daborha has been working with young children for most of her life. She recognized the need to enhance her skills and knowledge to provide even better support to her students and colleagues. She enrolled in a comprehensive early childhood education training program, the Child Development Associate Credential, through the Early Childhood Career Pathway Program at PEACE Inc.

Over the course of 120 hours, Daborha immersed herself in various aspects of Early Childhood education, from child development theories to practical classroom management techniques; from developmentally appropriate practices to effective communication strategies and health and safety.

After completing the training through Care Courses, Daborha faced the final exam with both anticipation and determination. The exam tested her on a range of topics covered during the training, including theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
