In a new brief, the national workgroup Jobs for the Future explores how community colleges and human services nonprofits such as PEACE, Inc. can partner -and have partnered- to advance multigenerational family economic success. The paper highlights insights and recommendations from six sites in The Kresge BOOST initiative working to change organization policies and practices and connect students with critical supports and career opportunities. PEACE, Inc. is proud of the work that it pursued in partnership with Onondaga Community College and other key workforce/education/human services entities, including but not limited to OnPoint for College, Onondaga County 2 Gen, LeMoyne College Erie 21, CNY Works, SUNY EOC, and OCM BOCES. It is also proud of the knowledge gained through the national cohort, the participating cities, and the initiative’s advisors and the ways it helped spur important internal reforms at the agency around workforce/education pathways as well as DEI.
