Tarleshia Holmes, single mother of two children that both live with her full-time, was working part-time as a bus driver for First Student Management, driving children to school and home every day when she entered the ECCPP. While she liked her job, she wanted a steady schedule and hours she could depend on.
She moved herself and her family to the North Side of Syracuse in August 2021, where she set to work on creating her day care which she named JPH Childcare LLC.
Photo shows part of her daycare space filled with plenty of stimulating toys and activities for developing children.
At is a photo of the book station in JPH Childcare. Tarleshia has chosen to use labeling in her center. Displaying labels and signs in Early Childhood environments is an important part of creating a print-rich learning experience. Children will naturally begin to associate printed letters and words with objects and pictures.
Tarleshia is now a proud business owner and has future goals to expand into Group Daycare, where she will double her capacity and hire an assistant! .
Congratulations Tarleshia!
