HEAP Cooling Program
If you have a medical condition that is exacerbated by extreme heat, and no current source of cooling, you may be eligible for the HEAP cooling program for this summer. Contact HEAP at 435-8295 for more information and to see if you qualify. Once enrolled, you can choose your own contractor. PEACE, Inc. is one of the options.

Syracuse Parks Conservancy grant
Syracuse Parks Conservancy recently awarded PEACE, Inc. a Neighborhood Greening Grant to purchase seeds, plants, soil and hoses for our garden at the Westside Family Resource Center at 200 Wyoming Street. This year’s garden – a mix of flowers and produce – will be designed, planted, maintained and harvested by neighborhood youth and other community members, with help from Onondaga Earth Corps. Rotary Club of Syracuse awards $1500 for family literacy project
PEACE, Inc. is pleased to announce a new grant from the Rotary Club of Syracuse, Inc. for Head Start’s English as a Second Language Family Literacy program. We are very grateful for Rotary’s support of this important project supporting parents and young children who recently arrived in the U.S. Classes take place at our Eastside Family Resource Center on Beech St.
